Festival of Lights
Deepavali (or Diwali) is widely celebrated by Hindus all over the world. One of the largest and brightest festival in India, this celebration marks the triumph of good over evil...
A festival dazzling with the most intense colours...
Little India comes alive during this season, where the streets are transformed into vivid hues of dancing lights and stunning arch. Fresh marigold, jasmine and rose scents engulfed the streets, filling the air with a light-hearted festive mood! Artfully crafted homewares, and finely embroidered fabrication makes the perfect compliment for any Hindu family prepping for the festive.
Celebrating SG50 this year, lions sculpture were designed for the arch to represent the independence of the Lion City.

as we pledge ourselves as one united nation, regardless of race, language, or religion, we are blessed to be able to uphold the peace and harmony among our many differences till today. Celebrated by an estimate of 260,000 Singaporean Hindus, Deepavali has also been announced as a public holiday in Singapore, falling on 10th November this year.
The diversity of our nation opened our eyes to the different cultures. Because of our belief in equality, Singapore citizens of various races and religions are able to build a home peacefully on our sunny island. Not to mention our love for the intermix of lifestyle, activities, culture, fashion, food, public holidays... opps did we mention public holidays? :P
To all our Hindu friends, Here's wishing you a very happy Deepavali!
