A new beginning
Buddhism covers a third of Singapore citizens and this coming week we celebrate Vesak day. It may be a day of rest for most of us (yeah to long weekend!), but for our Buddhist friends, it's one of the most important day in the Buddhist calendar, a day of reflection, peace seeking, and enlightenment.
The beauty of these temples are simply amazing. Built in 1884, Kwan Im Thong Hood Cho Temple (above), or perhaps some of us will know it better as the temple at bugis, is one of the oldest temple in Singapore.
Buddha Tooth Relic Temple and Museum (below), built in 2005 is one of the latest addition, and serves as a place of interest in Chinatown. The contrast of the old and new architects each carries its own flavours, beautiful on its own.
We love how Jophia and Larry's outfits complimented the whole setting so well. Jophia's yellow silk chiffon gown gave the frames a fresh burst of life, injecting the perfect balance zest of energy against the background.
As we were doing the shoot, this little girl ran over and wanted to take a photo with "Princess Belle". How sweet...
We are blessed in this small island to enjoy the harmony of the diversification of our nation. How the teachings from each race and religions nurtured us, and most importantly, how we are given the equal respect towards our own beliefs.
And here's a Happy Vesak Day to our Buddhist friends!
